๐Ÿ  Looking for a Room Near Itaewon โ€“ Any Recommendations?

Hi everyone, I recently moved to Seoul for work and am currently looking for a one-room or small studio near Itaewon, Noksapyeong, or Yongsan. My budget is around โ‚ฉ700,000โ€“โ‚ฉ1,000,000 per month, and I'm hoping to find a place that's: Close to public transportation ๐Ÿš‡ Foreigner-friendly ๐ŸŒ Has basic furniture included ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Available for move-in this month I've checked a few listings online, but it's difficult to know which areas are best for foreigners and which real estate agents are trustworthy. If anyone has recommendations, tips, or knows of available rooms, I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ  Is it just me or is finding housing in Korea REALLY hard?

Hey guys, Iโ€™ve been looking for a place for the past 2 weeks and honestlyโ€ฆ I didnโ€™t expect it to be this difficult ๐Ÿ˜… Everywhere I check: Deposit is crazy high (like โ‚ฉ10M+ ๐Ÿ˜ญ) Some agents donโ€™t really want to deal with foreigners Contracts are confusing (jeonse vs wolse?? still trying to understand) And some places just straight up say โ€œno foreignersโ€โ€ฆ Iโ€™m currently staying short-term but need to find something soon. ๐Ÿ™ Need some help: Any foreigner-friendly agents you recommend? Areas in Seoul with reasonable rent ? Is it normal to negotiate deposit/rent? Alsoโ€ฆ how do you guys make sure you donโ€™t get scammed or lose your deposit? Would really appreciate any advice ๐Ÿ™ Honestly love living in Korea, but this part is stressful ๐Ÿ˜…

How to find a house in Korea without getting scammed?

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹ Finding a place to live in Korea can be confusing โ€” especially if youโ€™re new here ๐Ÿ˜… Between deposit (๋ณด์ฆ๊ธˆ), monthly rent (์›”์„ธ), and contracts , itโ€™s easy to make mistakes. Here are a few tips that can save you a lot of trouble: โœ… 1. Always check the contract carefully Make sure: Your name is correctly written Deposit amount is accurate Move-in / move-out dates are clear ๐Ÿ’ฐ 2. Understand the deposit system In Korea: Deposits can be very high (โ‚ฉ5Mโ€“โ‚ฉ50M+) Lower deposit โ†’ higher monthly rent ๐Ÿข 3. Use trusted real estate agents (๋ถ€๋™์‚ฐ) Look for agents used to working with foreigners Avoid paying anything before signing a contract ๐Ÿ“ 4. Best areas for foreigners Itaewon (very international) Hongdae (students & young crowd) Gangnam (modern, but expensive) โš ๏ธ 5. Watch out for scams Too cheap = ๐Ÿšฉ No contract = ๐Ÿšฉ Asking full payment upfront = ๐Ÿšฉ โ“ Question to Community Have you rented a place in Korea before? ๐Ÿ‘‰ Share: Good agents Areas to live Things to avoid Letโ€™s help each other out ๐Ÿ™Œ

Did you pay key money (deposit)? How much?

Curious how much deposit foreigners usually pay for one-room. Please share city + rough amount.
