A Korean fine dining restaurant specializing in seafood sourced directly from the East Coast.
About
Koraebul Gangnam Yeoksam Main Branch is a Korean fine dining restaurant specializing in seafood, located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Established in 2002 by the first-generation owner, a native of Yeongdeok, with the intention of introducing East Coast seafood cuisine to Seoul, it has been operating in the same location for 24 years as a single flagship establishment. It is a premier seafood restaurant in Yeoksam, Gangnam, visited by approximately 30,000 customers annually.
The menu is primarily composed of seafood sourced directly from the East Coast. Seafood is managed in in-house aquariums, and ingredients of the day are prepared and served immediately. Major menu items include Dokdo Shrimp, Botan Shrimp, Spiny Lobster, 10-Year-Old Wild Rock Oysters, Mulgomtang (Snailfish Soup), Dodari Ssukguk (Flounder and Mugwort Soup), Mineotang (Croaker Soup), Whale Meat, and Pohang-style Mulhoe (Cold Raw Fish Soup). For lunch, meal sets accompanied by side dishes and hot stone pot rice are served, while dinner offers seafood course meals and signature menu-centric compositions.
Koraebul has been featured in various media outlets, including being introduced as one of CNN's Best Restaurants in Seoul in 2012, as well as on France's France3TV, tvN's Wednesday Food Talk, SBS's Live Broadcast Today, MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, and SBS's Running Man. Additionally, it has been continuously selected by the Blue Ribbon Survey for 15 consecutive years from 2012 to 2026.
