A Hongdae BBQ restaurant grilling domestic female pork, cross-aged wet and dry for 240 hours, over charcoal.

Cheongdonok

About

Cheongdonok is a charcoal BBQ restaurant located between Hongik University Station and Hapjeong Station. Its signature dish is domestic female pork belly, cross-aged wet and dry for 240 hours, which is more tender and less greasy than standard raw meat. It also offers sets where you can taste pork belly, pork neck, and donmahawk (pork tomahawk) all at once, as well as aged beef and beef tartare. Because the staff grills the meat directly at the table, first-time foreign visitors can enjoy the meal without any language barrier, and it provides an English menu along with free corkage (bringing in outside alcohol). It has been selected by the Korean Blue Ribbon Survey for four consecutive years.
