Breath, Rest: The journey to innocence
The hope is that facing all these artworks of nature and taking a breath, the most fundamental element of our lives, will help us look at ourselves calmly.
About
To live means that everyone has their own 'breath.’ This fact is so obvious that sometimes we live without recognizing its preciousness. However, in this era of loss, we live without being able to breathe properly. This exhibition is a process of finding ‘rest’ through ‘breath’ and was planned to awaken the importance of us as a whole. I want to be with you at the beginning of the journey to find myself little by little, but with a small but pure shining self, not a processed me who is constantly decorated and corrected in the eyes of others. Soil, wood, and thread, all materials like natural gifts to humanity, are expressed through crafts by borrowing the hands of the artist. Using that innocence as a motif, I tried to make things look unpretentious without processing them more than necessary. The hope is that facing all these artworks of nature and taking a breath, the most fundamental element of our lives, will help us look at ourselves calmly.
